COOL DECK Bio Media are designed to achieve high surface area per given volume resulting in high specific mass transfer. The structure aids uniform growth of biological film. Micro-organism growth on the bio film convert the dissolved and ‘unsettleable’ colloidal impurities into a settleable biomass. Other areas of application for COOL DECK Bio Media are Nitrification and Degasification.

COOL DECK Bio Media have folded edges at the top and bottom that provide critical leading to resistance to mechanical damage and erosion.They are continuous formed and have uniform thickness. The Bio Media have a high surface area and the aeration is done by means of natural draft. COOL DECK Bio Media have a long retention time and are minimum blocking. The raw material used is the self extinguishing PVC.
